DIY Bow Scrunchie Kit Tutorial!

In today’s video we are making a scrunchie with a bow using our new DIY kits!!

Items needed:

~Our DIY Scrunchie Kit (Includes 1 white elastic band, 1 patterned polyester fabric strip for bow, 1 patterned polyester fabric strip for scrunchie)

~ Sewing machine

~Needle and thread

Instructions:

1. Fold the scrunchie fabric piece in half with the design facing the inside. Pin it together to keep it straight.

2. Mark your center with a pin so you don't sew it together.

3. Begin sewing a straight line where you pinned the fabric together but leave about an inch gap in the center.

4. Trim your access thread.

5. Turn the strip inside out halfway and line up the seams.

6. Hand stitch the 2 ends together. (Don't stitch it straight across)

7. Find the whole in the center and flip it pattern side out. (Should be a loop of fabric now)

8. Put a safety pin on the end of the elastic and feed it through the hole in the scrunchie fabric all the way to the end.

9. Remove the safety pin and tie off the piece of elastic tightly.

10. Sew up the gap in the scrunchie. Don't forget to trim the thread.

----Now begin the bow----

1. Line up the 2 bow pieces pattern side down.

2. Pin it up and sew along the edges of the fabric.

3. Once you get to one side of the center, leave an inch gap open, then keep sewing the rest.

4. Trim your excess thread and use the hole in the center to flip it pattern side out.

5. Once it's flipped, sew the gap in the bow up.

----Putting it together----

1. Find the part of your scrunchie where the seam is.

2. Take the bow and tie it around that part.

3. Adjust as needed!! Now you have a bow scrunchie!! :)
