Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Cut Out Your Bow Shapes
• Using the template, carefully cut out the bow pieces. You should have:
• One rectangular piece (for the top part of your bow)
• One half-circle piece (for the tails)
• One small strip (for the center wrap)
Step 2: Create the Bow Top
• Take the rectangular piece and fold it into three overlapping sections, creating a layered effect.
• Adjust each fold to ensure they are even, and symmetrical .
Step 3: Pinch and Secure the Bow
• Pinch the center of the folded rectangle 3-4 times to create a gathered effect.
• Secure the pinch with thread or a small rubber band.
• Tip: A real rubber band is recommended so it doesn’t melt when gluing the center later.
Step 4: Prepare and Attach the Tails
• Take the half-circle piece and pinch it 3-4 times from the rounded edge down toward the center.
• Once pinched, place the gathered tails underneath the secured bow loops.
• Secure both pieces together with thread or a rubber band to form the full bow shape.
Step 5: Attach the Center Wrap
• Take the small center strip and fold it slightly inward along the long edges to create a clean finish.
• Wrap it around the center of the bow and glue it down in the back.
Step 6: Secure the Clip
• Apply a mix of hot glue and Loctite (or Gorilla Super Glue) to the back of the bow.
• Loop the center strip through the clip and pull it tight before securing it with glue.
