How to Make a Shape Bow

Our Shape Bows are the easiest way to create adorable, custom bows with minimal effort! Each bow comes pre-designed and preprinted, so all you need to do is cut, pinch, and assemble.

Materials Needed:

Preprinted Shape Bow Template (Choose from any of our 100s of designs such as a butterfly, ladybug, rectangle, or other fun shapes)

Sharp Scissors (For precise cutting)

Thread or Small Rubber Band (Must be real rubber to withstand glue)

Hot Glue Gun

Loctite or Gorilla Super Glue (For extra hold)

Hair Clip or Headband

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Cut Out Your Bow Shape

Using sharp scissors, carefully cut along the preprinted shape outline on your fabric.

Make sure the edges are smooth and clean for a polished finish.

Step 2: Pinch the Center to Form a Bow

Once the shape is cut out, gently pinch it down the middle to create a gathered bow look.

Adjust the folds until you achieve the desired shape.

Step 3: Secure the Pinched Center

Use thread or a small rubber band to secure the pinched center in place.

Tip: A real rubber band works best since it won’t melt when applying glue.

Step 4: Attach the Center Wrap

Take your center strip (or use a coordinating piece of fabric)

Wrap it around the center of the bow.

Step 5: Secure the Clip

Apply a mix of hot glue and Loctite (or Gorilla Super Glue) to the back of the bow.

Loop the center strip through the clip before securing it down with glue.

Hold everything in place until the glue is fully cooled.

Your Shape Bow is now complete! These bows are a fast and fun way to create unique accessories without needing extra templates or complicated assembly.
